The fine print / Terms
Curryillion terms of service, without the fog
Curryillion is a free, fan-made daily basketball trivia game. These terms are short because the product is simple: play the game, share your result, do not abuse the site. Here is the plain-language version of the legal one.
1. Acceptance
By visiting curryillion.cloud or playing Curryillion, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. If you are using the site on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you have the authority to accept these terms for it.
2. What Curryillion is
Curryillion is a free browser-based game about basketball trivia. It is provided for entertainment. There is no account, no purchase, no subscription and no real-money element of any kind. The game is fan-made and independent.
Not affiliated with the NBA. Curryillion is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by or connected to the National Basketball Association, its teams, its players, its coaches or any other basketball organisation. Team and player names appear only as factual trivia subjects, and no team or league logos are used.
3. Who can use it
You may use Curryillion if you can form a binding agreement where you live, or if you use it with the involvement of a parent or guardian. Because there are no accounts and no personalised services, the game does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone. If you are below the digital-consent age in your country, use the site with a parent or guardian.
4. Fair play
Curryillion is a solo trivia game, but it is still possible to misuse it. You agree not to:
- Attack the service. Do not attempt to overload, disrupt, probe or bypass the site's security, hosting or caching.
- Scrape at scale. Do not use automated scripts to bulk-extract the game's prompt or answer data. The data is served to browsers to play the game, not as a free dataset for resale.
- Misrepresent the game. Do not present Curryillion as official NBA content, and do not use it to imply an endorsement that does not exist.
- Abuse other players. The site has no chat, but you can still share results. Do not use challenge links or screenshots to harass anyone.
There is no leaderboard and no account to suspend, so enforcement generally means blocking abusive traffic at the network level.
5. No gambling, no money
Curryillion is a trivia game, not a betting product. There is no wagering, no entry fee, no prize pool, no cryptocurrency and no way to exchange anything in the game for money or items of value. Scores and badges are for fun and for bragging rights only.
6. Intellectual property
The site's original content — the game design, the interface, the artwork, the written guides and the code that runs it — belongs to the operator of Curryillion and is protected by copyright. You may play the game, share your results and link to any page. You may not republish the site's original content commercially, remove notices, or use the Curryillion name or logo in a way that suggests endorsement.
Team names, player names, league names and associated marks are the property of their respective owners. Curryillion references them for the purpose of factual trivia only. Nothing in these terms grants you a licence to use any third party's trademarks.
Your results, scores and challenge links are yours to share. A challenge link contains no personal information and no answers.
7. Trivia accuracy
Curryillion's boards are curated and reviewed, and every accepted answer is meant to be factually correct. Basketball history is long and occasionally contested, and a board can contain a mistake or an incomplete list despite those checks. If you believe an answer is wrong or missing, email hello@curryillion.cloud with the prompt and the answer. Corrections are welcome and are the best way to improve the game.
The game's tier assignments are design decisions about rarity, not factual claims about how many people actually answered something. They are not derived from a live survey.
8. Availability and changes
Curryillion is provided free and as-is. The site may change, move, pause or disappear at any time — for example while the daily content is being rebuilt or the hosting is migrated. There is no guarantee of uninterrupted service, no uptime commitment and no paid restoration of a streak or record.
Because there is no account, nothing is stored on a server that would need migrating. Your logbook lives in your browser and is subject to your browser's storage rules.
9. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Curryillion is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. The operator is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising from your use of the site — including lost streaks, lost local data, or time spent arguing about a half-court answer.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded in your jurisdiction.
10. Third-party services and links
The site loads no advertising or remote fonts; the only measurement scripts are Google Analytics and Cloudflare's cookieless Web Analytics, and the site does not embed third-party content. It is served by a hosting provider, which processes requests in order to deliver the files; see the privacy policy for what that means in practice. Any external link you follow from a shared screenshot or message is outside our control and outside these terms.
11. Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated if the game changes. When they change, the effective date at the top of this page changes too. Continuing to use the site after an update means you accept the updated terms. Material changes will be explained in plain language rather than buried in a revision history.
12. Contact
Questions about these terms, the game, a correction or a bug: hello@curryillion.cloud. That is the only official channel, and it is monitored by the person who runs the game.
